My Aunt Marguerite in Wichita is the most-deserving Mom, not only in Wichita, but all across this country, and, in my case, from Kansas to California. Having raised 4 wonderful children of her own with her husband Homer, and having helped to raise an army of grandchildren, great-children, nieces and nephews and even a few younger sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, including my own Dad, “Mom” Marguerite has left an indelible mark on the Fritchman family, all generations; no matter our ages, no matter where we reside. She is definitely our “Mom” , our family matriarch, and the one we turn to when times are good and bad. At 103 years of age, she is going strong and still has the same sweet personality and helpful heart to ease our wounds, our disappointments and our sorrows and, most wonderfully, the stories of our family for the last 80 plus years ready to share.. My own Mother passed away in the last month; and out of everyone, and even though we’re miles and miles apart, she has been there for me and has helped me so deeply through this devastating time with her words, her kindness, her memories, and her love. She is strong and loving and a Mom that is hands-down the most deserving of all of being “Wichita’s Favorite Mom”.
