My mom is a special woman. First off she is very patient. My dad and her had trouble conceiving and tried to get pregnant for 9 years before they were blessed with me! I am adopted as is my younger brother. My mom has had many obstacles in her life. She was raised by a single mother after her dad left them when she was young. Her mother worked hard to support her 2 daughters, but didn’t show much affection and wasn’t one to tell my mom she was loved. Because of how she was raised, my mom has made sure that my brother and I knew how much we were loved and wanted from birth on! My mom has lost both her mother and sister to cancer and she is kind of an orphan these days. Her mother-in-law, who was a true mother to her has also passed away.

My mom isn’t only passing her love and patience on to me and my brother, but also to my children. She is the best “grammy” to them! She is a wonderful person who has overcome a lot in her life, yet still realizes how blessed she is. She definately deserves to be rewarded in a special way for mother’s day!
