My mon is the greatest. She is always doing for others. As a kid I use to hate how everywhere we went people would come up and start talking about how great she was and how she took care of them or a loved one- you see she is an RN and has worked for Via Christie for almost 40years. She currently works in Neonatal Intensive Care helping the small lil lives survive. Not only does she take care of babies at work-she is also primary care giver to her 96 yr old mother and little sister who has down syndrome. Because of my moms dedication they have been able to live on their own in the house that my granny raised her family in. She also takes care of her grandkids and great grandkids. She is also very active in her church where she is the announcement clerk and sings(VERY WELL) in the choir. My mom is our family’s go-to person. In the 70’s her brother was going through a divorce and asked my mom if his two daughters could come and stay with her for the summer-the summer lasted a long time because they both ended up graduating from North High. She thinks of them as her daughters and they are closer to her than their own mother. This is typical of the relationships she forms with people because she is so loving and caring. Not a pushover she is willing to tell you when you are going in the wrong direction and because of who she is you can’t help but stop and listen. I was and am so impressed with the person she is I followed her into nursing. my siblings and I are very fortunate to be able to call her mom. Her husband of 39years has often said how lucky he is to have such a wonderful wife. Not only has she been all theses things to so many people-I’m lucky enough to call her not just my mom but my very best friend.
